As the mad scramble of the summer season dies away, Cape Town celebrates with winter specials. An old tradition, and for many Capetonians the only time they can afford to go to some of our top restaurants.
Today: Constantia Uitsig
The name translates as “View of Constantia”, the green and glorious suburb which houses the suburban wine farms, named for the sister of the Roman Emperor Constantine. All worth noting, as this is a Royal spot, well worth a visit. This is fine dining with an Italian bent under the skilled hands of chef Clayton Bell.
Try and get a lunch seat at the windows, and the Uitsig will be yours.
