The view is the thing: looking out to sea at Mouille Point from the first floor is simply breathtaking at sunset. Over the years the quality of the food and service has waxed and waned, as is does in so many Cape Town restaurants.
Right now both are quite good. The sushi menu is fresh, and the Asian Duck is one of my favorites. Wine is pricy, but you can bring your own bottle for a reasonable corkage.
Wakame is Asian-themed, with sushi as well as more conventional dishes. Asks for a table at the window. Upstairs at Wafu (same owners) there is a bar perfectly placed for sunset drinks, if you can bear the crowds, and a lighter Asian menu.
