Stellenbosch has recently become a culinary hub, with many great restaurants. It’s a relief then to find am eatery relocating closer to home.
Café Dijon has moved from the Zorgfliet estate to the vast Rockwell Centre in lower Green Point. The centre has ample parking, solving one of the biggest irritants of dining in the area.
Food is billed as “modern bistro” which seems a good description, although I begin to doubt these labels have any meaning. We were impressed by the detailed service, with fresh and tasty dishes, especially the steak, and the steak salad, more than enough for a meal.
The only downside was the cavernous interior, which can be a bit loud, although very attractive, with massive wooden “trees”.
